Lost or misplaced?

So a few months ago we were just having a rough time. First Mark lost his wallet. Now this wasn't just his wallet with cash and credit cards and drivers license but it was also a Coach wallet. Now Mark is not all fancy nor demands brand name clothing. I bought him that wallet for his present for graduating from the academy. So yes, lost. Never found again.

Then we went to Las Vegas for his brothers wedding and stayed in a cheap hotel the first night because we had to have the dogs with us that night. He stuck his gun holster in the cupboard. And forgot it. So of course I gave him heck for losing all his stuff.

Then I lost my checkbook. I never use a checkbook but there are those few instances that you need it. So of course I had to call the bank and switch all of our automatic payments to come out of a different account.

Later that week I lost the house key. This also had the mail key on it. Now I only went to Michaels and Kohls that day and I could not find them anywhere! So I looked and looked and what did I find in the truck door... MY CHECKBOOK. So my checkbook was not lost... it was misplaced.

So 2 days ago when I went to Scottsdale I kenneled the dogs and took some toys up with them. When I got home I couldn't find one of the toys. So this morning I went out to the truck to look for it and what did I find... THE KEYS! Yes the keys were in the truck the whole time. They were just misplaced. I couldn't find the dog toy though.

Later today I thought ok that toy has to be in the truck so I looked again... and found the toy!

When I was on this losing things streak a few months ago I was starting to question weather or not we should actually bring a kid into this world... I was just fearing that I would seriously lose a child! So now today I have come to the conclusion that we SHOULD have children... worst thing that would happen if they are with me is I will just misplace them... for how long I misplace them is the question. Now if the child is in Mark's hands... well then we might have a problem! lol!

  1. okay so I don't feel so bad now for losing stuff! Hopefully my "lost" transmitter has just been replaced. Maybe I should look through my car again ;)

Oh and when you have kids it gets worse! Watch out!

  3. Oh, I don't think you will misplace your child and forget it. I think you should hurry up and have one and you will see that lost or misplaced does not happen here. They can cry, scream and laugh to let you know where they are. Your wallet, checkbook or keys can't do that.:)

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
