Photography friends....

Yesterday I decided to take a trip up to Scottsdale to visit a friend that I met in the photography workshop I attended last month. It was so much fun. We just got together and chatted photography stuff and of course some girly chat along with it. Jacqueline got a call while I was there about a local photographer that is going out of the business. So of course we jumped in the car to head over to see what she had left. Unfortunately a lot of the equipment was gone already but I snatched up a cute little trunk and Jacqueline got a cute little chair. I can't wait to use my trunk! As I was leaving her house her cutest little boy gave my legs a hug and said "I love you!" It was sooo adorable! I had such a good time meeting up with Jacqueline I just hope that we can do it a couple more times before I move thousands of miles away! Jacqueline has a blog but hasn't been sold completely on keeping up with it... I know she has been stalking my blog though... some day she will take the plunge and post more comments as well as posts on her own blog... I know you can do it Jacqueline!

Other good news... my friend Addie that I join for photography sessions a lot... she put an offer on a house right around the corner from me and.... it was ACCEPTED! Yeah! So she is just going to be walking distance from me shortly! How exciting! I am so happy for Addies family as they have been house hunting for awhile now.

Then there is my friend Jessica. Some how I know her. LOL! She says she went to Sugar Creek bible camp with me when we were little but honestly I don't remember that! We later connected in college and recently she found me on facebook. Ahh good ol facebook! She is currently living in Germany and has been into photography for awhile but dropped it. Now she is back at it! It's so much fun chatting back and forth via email with all the photography questions we throw at each other.

When we first moved down here I was like ohh it would be easier to meet people when you have children... which I still feel is true... but I love the fact of meeting and chatting with people because we share the love of photography!

There is also my Uncle Mark who I throw some questions/ideas too and I hope to see him visiting me soon so we can venture out for some cool landscape pictures! There is my friend April who encouraged me to take the workshop last month... so glad I did! And my friend Josh who recently helped me with some technical difficulties!

I heart my photography friends!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
