Baptism....

A few days after Ethan was born our pastor came to visit us at the hospital. He had brought up the idea of baptizing Ethan right away. Of course we thought that was a great idea but I was bummed because I had envisioned having a "normal" baptism where you had pictures of him with family before having everyone over for a big dinner. The pastor said that we could baptize him right away and then have a special celebration when he got out of the hospital. On April 5th 2010 he was baptized with just my mom, Mark and I. Ethan was of course was in his incubator so Mark and I had our hands in there to touch him and drop the water on his head as the pastor stood next to us baptizing him. Now this weekend we are finally having a baptism celebration. I wish we lived closer to all of our friends and family so they could be with us to celebrate. Since that is not possible we are planning on having our skype on all day so if anyone would like to "join" us you are more than welcome.

And here is a random video of Ethan last week. We had stopped in a gift shop in West Glacier and Ethan got really excited when he saw the wall of stuffed animals. Mark picked out the bear for him and he was excited the entire time we were in the store. The clerk told us he could stay and help sell bears! Remember before you push play go to the bottom of this site and push pause on the music.

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
