Around Here

So 3.5 weeks ago we decided to start a few projects. Mark's project was to tile the bathroom floor. My project was to paint the laundry room. Short and simple projects right? Not in a small town and NOT with a 15 month old! These projects are STILL going on! The wallpaper that I had to remove from the laundry room was not a simple task. It took forever. Then of course the drywall needed to be fixed. So the obvious delayed it but then we needed drywall and of course they are not open after 5pm here and definitely not on Sundays. Then we realized we needed drywall screws. Then for the bathroom floor we needed more supplies to get that done that was unexpected and same thing... store wasn't open when we were planning on getting more done on it. Then when it was time to tile we laid it out and decided we didn't like the tile. Well no one around here has tile in stock so we had to wait til we could get to Great Falls again. Once we got new tile and grouted it we decided we didn't like the grout! I am excited to get these projects done but definitely learned the lesson of planning ahead around these parts!

This is what lunch looks like at our place....

Ethan has figured out how to turn the tv on and off!
I was in the kitchen the other day and looked in on Ethan and thought he was so cute so I grabbed my camera and as I was taking the picture he looked at me and did his latest look....
This is Ethan....
This is Ethan when I give him the lens cap....
Easily amused!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
