My projects...

So I have always wanted to refurnish furniture just like at one time I liked the idea of remodeling a house. Well I decided to try a few things with a couple pieces of furniture that I found at goodwill. We already refinished 2 night stands for our bedroom I just haven't got around to taking pictures of them. So here are my projects before....

Mark thinks the chair is ugly no matter what I do to it. Whatever. It's going in my scrap room since he stole my other chair and my new chair is going to be fantabulous and he is going to be jealous! The end table is almost done. It it going to be a storage space for some of my photo albums as well as a night stand in the spare room. I will be posting the after pictures soon!

You might have noticed I changed the music on the website. If you didn't notice that means you have your volume off ;) I decided to put music on here on the day my dad died (well 9 years later anyway). That's why daddy's hands was the first song playing in case you were wondering... or getting annoyed with the song! So now with Ethan's surgery coming up I decided we need to jazz it up a bit. I need to go into a happy place (well I am in a happy place everyday with my 2 boys and my 2- 4 legged friends) but you know what I mean. Funny thing is when I started to add different songs I really got the urge to go on a cruise! Not tomorrow or anything but I have always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise. Has anyone went on one with tips of what to go for and what not to? (Hey, a girl can dream for now ;)

I have been without my camera now for 2 weeks! I had to send it in to have something fixed. Funny thing is how I am without my camera. I have 2 point and shoot cameras and hate them both. Actually couldn't figure out how to turn the flash on the other day. Who would have thought you just pull the flash up?!?!? Then I thought, ugh, I am not going to have my camera for his surgery day! Good new though people! It should be here tomorrow! Just in time ;) I can't wait to have it back. It's like I have been missing my puppy, my left arm, my espresso machine, my computer, you know what I mean! Am I the only crazy one that doesn't quite function well without something?

  3. I am eager to see what the furniture looks like when it's all done! And I'm sure it will be fabtabulous!!!
And no you're not crazy.. well you are.. but not because you need your camera to function... My Gypsy died, and I have to send it in to get it replaced.. and therefore all scrapbooking and crafting has stopped.... I just don't know what to do without it!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
