Surgery Soon

I realized that I haven't posted any information on Ethan's upcoming surgery. It was supposed be done and over with by now but the Dr. decided it would be best to do it in the middle of October so Ethan is a little older. He will be getting his circumcision and his inguinal hernias fixed. It will be next Thursday in Great Falls EARLY morning. We have to be there by 6am which means we have to leave the house by 4:30am! They do the babies first thing in the morning so that they have all day to recover and hopefully won't have to spend the night. If you recall the hernias were the reason for our second emergency flight to Seattle in May. They were able to reduce it without surgery and since he was so little and his tissues would be like sewing tissue paper together they like to wait until they are past their due date a ways. So of course I will post updates on how it goes. We are hoping this is the last surgery Ethan has to go through!

Here are a few pictures from my little point and shoot camera....
Ethan wanted to be cool like his daddy....
I just LOVE Ethan's face in this one!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
