Going home?

So today I got word that we are all set to go back to Montana... G.F. is ready to take us back, Ethan is stable, no eye surgery needed, insurance approved... BUT .... yeah the big BUT... we are going back tomorrow pending on the weather. OK so I thought well it's raining there so I can see why they would just put that warning out there for me but then I looked up the forecast and it's not looking so good. You know, fog, rain, and SNOW! Seriously! It is almost June and there is a chance of snow and thunderstorms! Yeah! NOT! Maybe I should just tell them I want to stay here after all! So tomorrow morning I will wake up, get ready, get everything ready to go and then... wait. Wait to here if we will be leaving tomorrow or not.

Today was a really good day though ;) I held Ethan while he was on the nasal canula and he did great the whole time... except he does this new trick on mommy... he scrunches his face real tight and his whole head turns bright red! Yeah so I talked to the Dr.'s today about it and they said that it's normal and I will get used to it. Yeah... just like I got used to jumping to my baby's side to shake him when his rate dropped... yeah just like that!

Then I went out with the other couple here from Great Falls to the downtown area. Yeah I knew there was a shuttle here but we didn't take the time to figure out how it worked last time we were here... yeah wish we would have! It took us to the downtown area with a lot of shopping! You know... 5 floors in Nordstrom and Macy's, 4 floors in Old Navy and lots more but I didn't get to see it because.... well I had to get back to pump! I am seriously thinking of finding a way to connect my pump while I walk around to go shopping! How do new mothers get any shopping done... ok yeah I know... they don't. But we live in the middle of nowhere now where the shopping really stinks and online shopping is all I have been doing! So although I didn't get a lot of shopping done (which is good because it's pricey enough just to eat here!) I did have a lot of fun... thanks Lindsey and Josh for taking me downtown with you ;)

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
