Surgery... good news!

Well the doctor just came out and said that everything went well and that there were no surprises. They are just cleaning up the room and doing an x-ray to make sure all his tubes are still in the right place. Soon we will get to go in to see him. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are hoping this is exactly what he needed to start his recovery so that we can take him home soon! Hmmm.... soon... well we still think it will be at least 2 more months but we just realized it has already been almost 3 weeks since he was born. Hopefully the rest of this goes quickly!

  7. I have been praying the same prayer that I prayed for his Daddy when he was in Iraq. It brought Ethan's Daddy home safe and Sound and I thought it would help bring our little Ethan safely through this Surgury. Dear Lord please send your Army of Angels to surround and protect this precious baby boy. God answered this Prayer for Mark and I knew He would answer it for Ethan. It won't be long before Ethan is with his Mommy and Daddy at home in their arms. That is where our Heavely Father wants him. That little boy is loved by many. Mark and leah we have been praying for you as well. Love each other and let the wonder of your baby boy bring you joy. Love Mom Sloan

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
