I have been meaning to post this but I forgot! When we stayed in WY a few weeks ago my aunt said she was helping plan a friend of hers wedding and that they were thinking of making the cake. I said well I think we should do a sample while I am there ;) So of course chocolate cake with buttercream frosting was my suggestion. The plan was to make a 3 tier cake and then do cupcakes around it. Once the cakes came out of the oven I think we realized that making the tier was not the greatest idea... what do you think?
It may have not looked pretty but it tasted pretty darn good! Mark and Andy (my uncle) thought the red frosting was ketchup and that maybe it was a meatloaf!
So do you think my aunt should plan on making the cake?!?!!?
I thought of this picture because I was debating on making a cake tomorrow and making it a layer cake... if I do I will have to post pictures of the results.
One litlle cake misshap and you have to tell the whole world? Presentation is highly over rated!

You have to give it to Mark and Andy that is does look more like meatloaf with ketchup than wedding cake! lol
