18 months!

Geez 18 months already!

Ethan's vocabulary: dada, mama, baba, uhoh, woah

Ethan's foods: chocolate chip cookies, wheat thins, ritz crackers, pancakes, baby foods, and formula (yeah I realize that the first few foods are not the healthiest choices but when you are facing the challenges of texture it is a blessing for him to eat these things!

Size: 12-18 month clothes (Carter's is 18 months), size 4 diapers
walks along furniture
walks with his car
climbs on the couch, rocker, table... basically anything he can he will!
Still takes 1 nap a day for 1-2 hours and sleeps 12-13 hours at night (love this kid ;)
gives the sweetest hugs when you ask for one
lots of smiles
loves to dance
when he waves he usually waves with both hands
6 teeth
signs: all done, more, and he is close to a please
loves peek-a-boo

I really hate that RSV season is right around the corner. Back to the anti-bacterial and not running to the store with him. Ugh. One more season. I think we might have a few things to keep us busy through the winter so hopefully it will go quick!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
