Well I know... I thought I was going to get better at blogging but it just hasn't happened. After a recent activity with Ethan I thought... oh I will definately blog the funny things he says when he starts talking.
When you have a preemie they set you up with what is called High Risk Infant Screening. They basically just see how he is developing every 6 months. When he had his first one they suggested physical therapy to help him along. He loved the PT and we loved her. Well recently they suggested stopping PT for now because he is doing so awesome and that we start speech therapy. Not necessarily because he needs it but to monitor him and keep him moving in the direction he needs to go. Ok. Great. We are up for doing whatever we can to help him out. So we have been working on making sounds and playing with words.
So the other day I said to Ethan "Can you talk to momma?" He responded with "ahh ahh ahh ooh ooh." I started laughing thinking that it was just a coincidence. So then Mark got home and we went for a walk and we were sharing our day stories. So then I said Oh yeah! "Ethan, can you talk to momma?" Again he said "ahhh ahh ooh ooh." Mark started laughing and we were talking about how cool that was. So the next day I say to Ethan "Ethan, can you talk to momma?" What does he do? No ahhh or ooh. No this child shakes his head NO at me! So I ask him again and he shakes his head again! Oh child!
Ok, lets see what I have for fun photos...
Ethan loves to pull the clothes out the basket when I am folding them so I plopped him in there and just watched cartoons like this!
Here is Eli pushing Ethan... his mom apologized but she didn't see Ethan pulling Eli's ears seconds before this... boys!
Grandma Dawn bought E a new book that has a squeeker in it... it's Dakota's favorite book now ;) Here he is looking for it.... (yeah we have a toy box in the making..)
Here is us on the 4th of July... we lit a few fireworks for Ethan. We did them early because he was tired. The neighbor kids thought we were weird. Ethan's vocabulary was perfect for the night... "ooh ahh ooh ahh!"Ethan had his first real boo boo... he has been climbing on things like crazy and he was standing up against the coffee table and ended up slamming his mouth on the edge of it... yeah I cried... he cried for MAYBE 20 seconds!
We took him swimming in town. I think its my favorite thing about this town. They have a wading pool outside for kids 6 and under and then the big pool is indoors. I have a bazillion pictures from this day... this is only 1.
Then we had family come to visit. Of course we had to go to Glacier National Park. The day we went was the first day the road was open all the way! This is Mark and Ethan on Lake McDonald....
Here is my mom, my cousin Maria, and my aunt Kathy....
My mom took my camera for this cute family shot....
And Grandma with E....
Ethan's first time at church was today. He loves music so he loved it when every one was singing! He was pretty good up until the end he started getting excited at the people behind us making faces at him ;) Then he liked playing with the oxygen cord attached to the lady next to us. Must have brought back fond memories!

So that kind of sums up the latest happenings around here.

It's great to stay in touch and see how much Ethan is growing. Love the pictures!!
