Guess who is 1 today?

No, it's not Ethan just yet......
It's Eli's Birthday! Happy Birthday little E1!

Eli was born just a few days before Ethan and did his time in the NICU as well. Can you believe this little guy was born weighing in at only 1 pound exactly! He has come a LOOOONG way. His mom has become a good friend of mine. We talk almost daily via email, texting or snail mail. Speaking of snail mail.... Lindsey started up a new shoppe on etsy that you should definitely check out. We have been "pen pals" for awhile now and I LOVE to get cards from her. She is so creative!

Lindsey and Eli paid us a visit last week so I could get some pictures of this little man before he got any bigger. It was fun to watch Eli and Ethan together. It was the first time they got to interact with another baby (you know those NICU mom's and their germaphobia!) Mark got a few pictures while they grabbed each others hands. Funny thing is Eli taught Ethan a little trick while he was here. Eli kept twisting his tongue all around and making squirty noises so the next day Ethan woke up with this new trick of making squirty noises! It is so funny. Now if someone could please come and teach Ethan "so big", wave, clap, and crawl on all fours (Ok maybe not crawl just yet... he is already moving fast with the bear crawl/army crawl he has going on!) This kid just looks at me and laughs any time I do it!

And one more picture of Eli because he is so darn cute ;)

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
