Thankful

I started to write this post on Thanksgiving but thought "oh I need to add a picture before I post it" and well now I am getting around to adding a picture ;)

Mark had to work this Thanksgiving so we actually had our Thanksgiving dinner the night before. It was so yummy! It was even complete with mom's homemade lefse that she shipped to us so that it would get here just in time (she knew it wouldn't last til Thanksgiving if she sent it earlier ;)

A few things we are thankful this year...
Ethan! He is doing so well and the best part is... he is home with us for the holidays. We are really excited to start new Christmas traditions with our little one. It kind of stinks we can't be with our friends and family this year but I think Skype might help with that.

Internet shopping... without it I don't know how I would get my shopping done here in the middle of no where!

Mark... he watched Ethan last Tuesday so that I could go to G.F. to get my hair cut, a little shopping (a small dent in the shopping) and coffee with my NICU friend (Thanks Lindsey for meeting up with me... I so needed it!)

Mark's job... I am so thankful that we are able to have me stay home with Ethan. Who knows how Ethan would be doing if we had to put him in daycare.

Our friends and family.... we are so thankful for all the support and prayers from all of them through our rough times with lil E

Ethan took a little nap before the big dinner....

Ethan really wanted to get at the turkey...
A little smile I got the day after Thanksgiving...

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
