6 months!

Dear lil' E,

Today you are 6 months old! I can't believe it. You have grown sooo much sooo quickly! You truely are amazing. You have fought so hard to get where you are today. You are a miracle. I love you so much. Today I spent the morning oohing and aaahhing over you. You were full of smiles for me and I was just filled with joy. More like a little giddy! You are so much fun. Lately you have been:

starting to drool
sleeping 6 hours at night
eating breast milk only
smiling
working on sitting
starting to like rattles
love your gym mat
playing air drums with dad
reading, signing and singing with mom
wearing size 3 month clothes
you are 2.5 months adjusted age
cuddling (I love it... please don't stop this ;)

I am so blessed to be able to stay home with you. I get to see you change day to day, cuddle, make faces with you, read to you, sing songs and so much more. I love it when dad comes home and says hi to you and your eyes just bug out and look around. Sometimes you even give him a smile ;) I have to say life is pretty sweet!

I love you little E and I am so proud to be your mommy!

Happy 6 month birthday!

Little Ethan Sloan...congratulations on a very successful first 6 months of life. You have accomplished and overcome more in 6 months than most people accomplish in 6 years. We are so glad that you are the scrappy little fighter that you are! Here's to another amazing 6 months (and beyond)!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
