I didn't get the memo...

that today would be the day that my baby would .... ROLL OVER! Yeah, that's right. He rolled over. And... of course we didn't see it! Mark put Ethan down on his new gym for some tummy time and went into the kitchen. I was next to Ethan but multi tasking between watching him, pumping and reading my email. Yep, but I missed it! Mark and I were talking and then I looked down and he was on his back! Yeah! We were all so excited we rolled him back over and cheered him on to do it again. Did he? Nope. Of course not. Mom and Dad were watching why would he do it then! It's so exciting yet kind of scary. We are already at the rolling over milestone?!?! Didn't we just get home from the hospital? Ahhh he is already 4.5 months old! When they say it goes quick it sure does. Quicker than a blink of an eye.

Yesterday we decided to take a little road trip for dinner. The doctor ok'd us to go to public places but not busy places and only til the middle of September since that is when RSV season starts. So we headed to Craig, MT. It was suggested to us from a friend. The drive there was awesome. It was very scenic. Mountains and rivers all the way. We went to a place called Isaak's. The food was great. The town was pretty small... compared to Romance, WI. It had a couple bars, a couple fly fishing shops, and a restaurant. I believe it is know for great fly fishing. Did Mark take his fly gear? Nope. I think he should next time we go some where though because it seems like you can fly fish almost any where around here!

This is just picture I took when we had to pull off to feed Ethan on the way back.

I love this picture... sure it's not the greatest quality but I just love the look on Ethan's face.. it's like he is saying "we didn't do it mom!" Funny thing is is that I think he will be saying that a lot... and soon!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
