Something good has got to happen?

Ok so this morning I was a little upset at the world and I got up to finish painting the tree on Ethan's wall in the nursery. It looks so cute by the way! Pictures to come later ;) But I was painting and thinking. Oh how I do a lot of thinking these days! So I was thinking how there has been so many bad things happen lately that something good has got to happen. It goes like that you know. Then I realized that there have been good things happening but they don't get slammed into my face like the bad ones do. Ethan has been making great accomplishments. He is in the crib, he is on the nasal canula, he is still pooping and peeing, he is still eating and he is just so darn cute! But then I realized that today was a day that Mark and I were going to celebrate. (He ended up working 18 hours last night because of a mix up in the schedule... when he called to tell me that he was not going to be home at 11:30 last night and that he would be home at 8am I started to bawl.... yeah I was a little emotional last night... sorry hun ;) So when he got home this morning he needed some serious sleep. What are we celebrating? Well Mark signed up with the army 8 years ago. He signed a contract for 6 years followed by 2 years IRR. IRR is ready reserves and it meant that he could be called up for deployment at anytime. Until today. He is completely done! Yeah! The army has been great to us but I am so glad that it is over. The best thing he got from the army are some of his friends. I love all his army friends and their wives (and girlfriend since Scott hasn't proposed yet!) We definitely miss you guys!

Tonight was bath night and he was just looking so cute... here are some pics after the bath.

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
