Saturday

We got up today and started moving things from the bedrooms to the living rooms for the carpet that will be installed on Monday. Of course we didn't want to stay at the house too long so we headed to the hospital. They changed the care times to 8:30, 11:30, 2:30 and 5:30 so that they can start feeding him. Today was his second day of feeding and I got to feed him once ;) Once we got to the hospital one of Mark's co-workers stopped in with his wife to see us and give us a gift. They also brought a gift from another co-worker (he works in another town but for the same "company") that Mark has never met. It was nice to see some familiar faces.

They are talking about putting Ethan back on the cpap (yeah... a step forward.) They also mentioned that they found a twist in the ligament to his heart but it is nothing that is concerning them right now but he may have to go in for test for the first year of his life. Today I got to feed our little boy. Here are a few pictures that Mark took while I was feeding Ethan.

Mark had to leave me at the hospital and go home so that he could get some things done at the house and to get some sleep before he goes back to work tomorrow. Just when I thought things couldn't get any tougher... now we have to spend nights apart! Ugh!

I have to agree, I like these pictures. I like all your pictures. Little Ethan is so lucky to have you and Mark. You always lood good to me, but after becoming a Mommy, you look more radiant. Parenthood definitely agrees with both you and Mark. Love and miss all three of you.

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
