Ultrasound #3

Tonight I went to my 20 week ultrasound. This is the ultrasound that we would normally find out the gender but since we did that in Phoenix a month ago I just had her confirm it. And yep definitely still a boy! I was a little afraid when I went to this appointment. Why? Well Mark was unable to make this one. We didn't know what his work schedule would be like when we made the appointment and once we found out I called right away to see about changing the time or date of the appointment and I couldn't get it until next month if I did that! Fortunately I opened my mouth right away when I got in the Dr.'s room... shocking I know ;) I asked if she would be sending pictures home with me since my husband was unable to make it I really wanted him to see it. She said oh of course and actually we can record it on a dvd so he can see all of it and hear the heart beat! YES! I was sooo excited. Mark still doesn't know that this is waiting for him when he gets home from work tonight ;) At the appointment she told me that everything looks healthy and on track. However, when she measured the baby she said that he is growing a little ahead of schedule. I looked at her and said "what does that mean exactly?" She said "well it just means you won't be having a 6 lb baby but it won't be 10 lbs either." And I am soooo ok with that! When I was born I was 11lbs 2 oz so less than 10 lbs is ok with me! And to think there were people telling me I needed to feed this baby after seeing the last ultrasound picture!
So here are a few snapshots of the video from tonight... I hope you enjoy!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
