Life is full of surprises...

Some people say not to find out the sex of your baby before it is born because it is the only or one of the few surprises in life. I have to say I disagree. My life has been full of surprises! Big surprises, small surprises, good surprises, sad surprises, angry surprises, and you are on top of the world surprises.

These are just some surprises so far in my life: santa clause stopped by, the easter bunny came (and one time I even surprised the easter bunny when it was hiding the baskets I woke up with a nightmare screaming... the easter bunny of course screamed too! lol!) surprise you are going to have a sister (twice), your grandpa went to heaven shortly followed by your gradma, your accepted into college, you had a car accident, your father has passed away, your moving to Big Sky, MT, you bought a house, you're engaged, your husband got THE job, you sold your house, you're moving to AZ, WE ARE PREGNANT!, oh and now you are moving to MT in 2 weeks notice!

Life is full of surprises. Sure we could wait til the delivery day and hear "surprise its a....." or we can hear it at the ultrasound on this Saturday "surprise its a...." For me... I love to plan! I love to shop! I love to decorate! I love to scrapbook! I love babies! I love photography! Now the sooner I know the sex of our baby the sooner I can do some of the things I have planned... I can only have so much brown, yellow, and green!

So this Saturday we will be going to Phoenix for an ultrasound. Not just any ultrasound. This one we will be coming home with a dvd of the ultrasound, pictures of it, a cd with more pictures, AND they will record the baby's heartbeat and put it inside a teddy bear! Mark asked me what the teddy bear runs on. I looked at him and said um well I don't know, why? He said because I have a feeling it will be wore out soon! Of course we will be finding out the sex of the baby on Saturday too (as long as this little thing cooperates ;)

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
