Phoenix Zoo

So the other day Mark and I decided to go to the zoo. Why? Well Mark loves the zoo and I was wanting some safari like pictures. This poor elephant looked so said and was just swaying back and forth but by the time we got to the other side of his "habitat" he was moving around and looked to have a smile on his face ;)

The monkey exhibit was pretty cool there. You got to walk into a little room where the monkeys hung out so there was no glass or cage between us and the monkeys.

This Bamboo was in a cage unfortunately. His face was oh so cute just chilling looking at everyone look at him through the glass!

We walked up on this habitat and found really large droppings. We didn't know what it was but we knew it had to be big to have droppings like that! Around the corner we found the Rhino.
This animal scared me to scream and jump when I walked around the corner! I thought it was real! So of course Mark laughed at me so I thought I should take a picture of it.

Some of my safari type pictures that I was looking to get. I have more and plan to post later but we will see ;)

One of 3 of my little friends that follow me ;)

Mountain lions sleeping....

A cool looking frog...
Horrible lighting but the thing that is not the snake ;) is called a Gila Monster. Mark has seen them in the desert but I had not seen one before. Yep still glad I haven't seen one in the desert not behind glass!

Mark insisted that we pay and extra $3 each to pet the stingrays. They were soooo weird and smooth. Then of course if they splashed I would jump and scream like a little girl!

About Me

This blog started as a hobby for many reasons. It later became a way to keep the family up to date on our micro preemie baby, Ethan. Now as Ethan is nearing the 8 year mark with a little sister of 5 years I am finding a new reason to document on this blog.

Last year we were told by the school that Ethan had cerebral palsy, a blindspot and dyslexia. That is what started it all. I started taking him to doctors to find out what was going on and why this hasn't been discovered before now. In April 2017 we were told that he has executive functioning disorder. What the heck is EFD I thought?!?! After the doctor explaining it to us he basically said that if we don't start making changes now he could fall into the ADHD or possibly the autism category. Ok... so now what? What can we do?!? Well this blog is my way of documenting it all not only for me but also to help others find their way thru similar situations.
